This piece of script is a story about the magical experience to one of the fabled places on earth, Hunza Valley and Fairy Meadows. From the lush green kaghan valley to the snow capped mountains of Gilgit Baltistan the journey got all, what it takes to be adventurous and enjoyable at the same time.

Trip Preparations

It all starts from just planning a trip, well you don’t plan it yourself team GB Rovers plan it for you and makes you free from all the hustle that one must bear while going on such a long journey. I was fortunate to have my trip arranged with GB Rovers. It was a new experience as I was boarding the train alone for the first time but thanks to social media the boys were already got gel up on the Whats App group set up by the organizers so it was just a matter of meeting with each other and to get along on a memorable trip. The journey from Karachi to Islamabad was not much to discuss as it was nothing compared to what lies ahead yet a delicious dinner with a mesmerizing view of Islamabad from Monal restaurant is worth mentioning at this juncture.

Naran, Kaghan Valley; our guide said, its the trailer

The next morning the call to north awakens all of us as we prepared to move to Chillas from Islamabad. On the way along the beautiful sceneries soothes our eyes. As we were passing by lush green valleys on a smoothly paved road with melodious music playing in the background which was just enough for me to help myself indulge in love for these mountains but suddenly I realized myself as being into the heavens, it was the majestic kaghan valley, the beauty of which cannot be described in words. lush green mountains with snow-capped peaks at the backdrop those were certainly picturesque. We had a brief stop at that place and continued over journey along the valleys which were ready to surprise us with their growing beauty as we move further upwards towards the north.

Fairy Meadows, a heaven for real

Up till now, the journey was enjoyable yet the adventure feature was still missing and it was smartly figured out as our next destination was Fairy meadow. A place with heavenly beauty at the heart of Nanga Parbat the killer mountain. As it is one of the most beautiful landscapes on the planet so the stakes were also high as for reaching there was not an easy task. It took a 2-hour long jeep ride on worlds second most dangerous jeep track which was followed by a 3-hour trekking.

The journey is not for faint-hearted but it is surely a bliss for adventure lovers and once you reach that stately place you get realized that there is always something beautiful waiting for you if you work hard. In my opinion, no words can ever describe the exquisite beauty and charm of that place, no wonder it draws nature lover from around the world. The serenity and peace at that place just make u feel closer to your inner self, the beauty of that gigantic dove white mountain i.e. Nanga Parbat soaring into the sky in front of you feels indescribable.

Hunza Valley, Heaven on Earth

After spending a day so close to nature it was time for us to experience the lifestyle of nature loving people as we moved to Hunza valley, a place which is renowned nationally but also internationally for its high literacy rate and peace-loving people who are always there to welcome you and makes you feels at home. The food, the culture, the organic fresh fruits which u can directly pluck from trees, everything was wonderful and we had a splendid time exploring the city and the camping at the Duiker valley was an unforgettable experience. A musical night under the full moon with local musical instruments, nothing can get better than this. I must recommend a camping night at Duiker valley for every tourist who is going to read this.

As our trips call for an end. Our last stop was Pakistan China border. The world’s highest border crossing in freezing temperature situated in Khunjerab national park.  It can present you with an opportunity to see snow leopard hunting ice backs in the mountains. Our trip ended as we moved back to Karachi with lots of memories and new friends.

I should say to every aspiring one who wishes to tour to the north. I have never found time spent amongst the nature to be a waste of time.
