The worldly famous Fairy Meadows is a hot tourist destination, a summer retreat and the launching pad for trekkers and hikers attempting to climb nearby mountain peaks including Nanga Parbat (8,126m) – the 9th highest in the world and 2nd highest in Pakistan. Local people call it Joot and the Germans named it Fairy Meadows for the ultimate natural splendor it retains. The journey to the meadows begins from Raikot bridge by jeep to Tatto along an uphill 12 km adventurous track testing the courage of tourists and then a 5km mule trail along the rivulet demanding enough energy to reach the meadows.
